How Do I Connect with my Power Animal

Posted on February 23, 2016 at 10:38 AM Comments comments (850)
From time to time folks question about power animals in their lives.  A common question is often posed after a power animal appears during a meditation.  "How do I connect with my power animal? What message does my power animal have for me?"

This is an example for the importance of connecting to mother nature.  Let us consider the eagle. When one considers the eagle what is the image that the eagle brings to you?  What emotion does he instill in your heart?  There is no wrong answer here.  As a psychic, I am able to connect with helping spirits around my client.  It is up to the client however, to connect with their message. Feel the eagle, the energy.  Watch eagle rise to the sky, a great leap of power.  Be like the eagle. Rise to meet spirit.  Feel the force of your rising energy.  Eagle is there to help.

Weekly Forecast 10/12-10/17/2015

I haven't done a tarot Blog and a while but here is the new  Raven Prophecy Tarot.  I treated myself to a brand new release deck and ordered it before it came out!  I love this deck and a friend of mine has been playing with it, so I was inspired to pull it out for this week's forecast.  I love the Shamanic Feel to this deck and I am always happy with a deck that combines my love for Shamanism and Tarot.

We start the Week out with the Ten of Cups.  This is a card that promises fulfillment emotionally; however, in the Raven Tarot, I see quite a crowded situation.  This week seems to be a week of sorting things out; and when I look at this card, I hear all the Ravens talking at once.  While family and friendships are a wonderful gift, it appears its time to step back from the opinions of others and sort things out for yourself.  A visit with the Hermit might be just the thing for you!

Starting Wednesday, we have the Five of Swords.  You have got plenty in the palm of your hand, but it's time to sort things out and let some of the excess go.  With Fall already on us, those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are soon going to be hunkered down inside for a bit.  Both literally and figuratively, too much is too much! All that stuff you hang on to has its own set of emotion.  As effortlessly as a feather floats to the ground, we release the things that aren't serving us at this time and free ourselves to more fruitful options.

We end the week with Page of Cups.  You've done your homework, congratulations! Now it's time to nurture your new self!  Who do you want to be?  Spend the weekend dreaming about it!  If dreaming never happens, creation never occurs. This is a weekend of manifestation. Have fun, take a walk and nurture your new baby self!  Imagine the impossible and create it! The time is now, and the opportunity is yours.  Much love to you all!

The Soul Retrieval: Part I

Posted on April 23, 2015 at 4:24 PM Comments comments (44)
It has been a while since I have written!  Shame on me! Winter is an undercover period for me and I have a difficult time overcoming the moons of darkness.  I seem to desire hibernation.  Today, I would like to talk a little about one of my favorite ceremonies, the Soul Retrieval.

Every time I think of  a Soul Retrieval, or I remember a Shamanic Journey for a client, I am reminded of the line from the Beautiful Hymn Amazing Grace, "I once was lost, but now am found."  There return of light in each soul retrieval client that is indescribable.  Part of the Shamanic experience for me is the privilege of bearing witness miracles, both small and large. In fact, there are no minute miracles.

Soul Loss is a scary sounding word for a common spiritual condition.  Each one of could benefit from a Soul Retrieval. When one experiences a trauma, the parts of the whole that cannot process the trauma are fractured.  I like to say that the soul pieces that that cannot handle the trauma take a vacation. The Shamanic view of illness indicates that when pieces of soul are missing, there are energetic gaps.  The object of the soul retrieval is to bring the soul parts home and complete the whole, thus giving the client access to missing energy.

In Shamanic practice, Soul Loss is indicated by a several symptoms.  In Soul Retrieval, Mending the Fragmented Self,  Author Sandra Ingerman shares the symptoms as follows:

1.  Difficulty feeling in body.

2.  Apathy, feeling "numb."

3.  Chronic depression.

4.  Immune system issues; chronic illness-often with no diagnosis

5.  Addictive behavior

6.  Significant memory gaps.

There are many paths to regaining soul parts.  I am not saying Shamanism is THE way.  Shamanism is a way that I have found healing and effective with the client. Within my practice, I have found that ceremonial soul retrieval is a beautiful, sacred way for my clients to reconnect with  self. In the next part of this series, I will discuss what to expect during the soul retrieval ceremony.  If you would like to talk with me about Shamanic Ceremony for your healing experience, please feel free to contact me to set up a consultation.

What is My Spirit Guide's Name?

Posted on March 2, 2015 at 11:42 AM Comments comments (166)
Many people ask  me who their guides are during a reading.  Most of the time, I connect with guides clairvoyantly, meaning I see them.  I can describe them, and even what they are wearing and where they are from; However, often there is no name.  More often than not, guides are happy to take a name that resonates with their charge. For example, once I was giving a Akashic Consultation for a group of sisters.  One asked me the name of her guide and the name  "Hank" popped in.  They all immediately broke out into peals of laughter! It was revealed to me that "Hank" was the name they had christened the statue of a deer in her back yard. They would all pat Hank's head each time they visited.  This was a humorous way for the woman's guide to provide her with a name and validation that he was with her.   The lesson for her was that the name was not as important as the presence.

Because Guides are spirit, they appear to us in forms that we understand.  They are a form of light and vibration.  It is our humanity that must assign a title and a face.   They take the form of energetic symbolism in which we are comfortable with connecting.  The best way to connect with your Guide's name is to ask it!  The two of you can come up with a title that your find appropriate and that you  both resonate with.  It may be a name in which you new from a past life you shared with the guide or just a name that contains a vibration that resonates with the needs of your soul.

If you would like a consultation to help you connect with your guides, contact me.  I would be happy to assist you on your journey.

Weekly Forecast November 10, 2014

Good afternoon, folks, hope your weekend was a beautiful one!  Here is This week's forecast.  The beginning of the week mirrors how beautiful it truly is outside! It has been a truly spectacular autumn day!  The Cold is supposed to move into KY, so it has been a bittersweet day indeed!  When I see this card, I am reminded as well as the Rider Waite Deck picture, which as well features a child.  Enjoy this moment, this now...We always want to rush headlong into the next moment and the time is indeed now!  like childhood, life this moment will be a memory.  Humans spend far too much time desiring that next best thing when the next best thing is the now!  Gratitude for gifts is the message of The Sun Card in this particular draw.  Enjoy the journey with a grateful and joyful heart!

We move into midweek and find ourselves deep into the Ten of Swords.  Things have gotten a little uphill, which tends to happen in November.  This is a warning to slow it down!  I can't help but notice that there is already Christmas advertisements out pushing the beginning of a shopping season.  This is creating a general fervor among the population to get things started before time runs out.  The energy in general is getting a little freaky lately! Don't get caught up in the whirlwind that others have created.  YOU are in complete control of your own destiny.  Like the deer in the background, this is a time to step back from the general population and observe without engaging and without judgment.  Therein lies your freedom.

And finally, the weekend comes to us! I LOVE the Ten of Cups in this deck!  Here is a man who is emotionally and physically fulfilled inviting the viewer to join him!  If you did your homework, you should move out of the Harry Scarey midweek just fine and into a joyful weekend.  On a side note, I just did a reading for a lady and sharing her cooking talents came forward. Her guides gave her the message to share her gift came with others.  How significant it is to teach a person to cook.  When we teach a person to cook, to really cook, we teach them to LIVE!  Enjoy your your abundance and your talents.  And share them.  That is how the world goes round.

Watch Your Mouth!

During a reading today, a woman repeatedly asked me if her business venture was going to fail or if her husband was going to leave her when she went away on business.  All aspects of the reading were positive.  Here husband was a solid, stable personality.  She was a person who was greatly organized and one of those gifted people who had the ability to make her ventures successful.  Her issue?  The heart of the matter was herself! Each time I did a spread for her, the outcome was good, but the possible blocks were her own fears and insecurities.  Will her relationship fail her?  If her husband has his choice, no!  However, there are issues within herself that were going to stand in her way. I am going away and my husband will leave me because of this  is a mindset that was not going to serve her marriage.  Instead, her guides suggested she focus on trusting her husband's stability and the gift of his support.  They suggested she use words to speak the truth of her successful relationship and her savvy business skills.

Often, we can vastly improve our situations by minding our own words.  This is a well known psychological term coined Self-Fufilling Prophecy.  In a nutshell,  self-fulfilling prophesy translates words have power. Tell a child he has issues with reading, and he will struggle with reading!  Want to succeed?  Stop  second guessing yourself! Take a look at the way you talk to yourself, and there you might just find the root of your struggles. Manifestation is empowered by belief and trust.  A simple change of thinking from I'm not sure if I made the right decision to I am competent, successful business woman can make all the difference in the world.  Granted, to reach this point, many of us have to go through a great amount of work and healing.  However, taking the step to change your thoughts and words-even if you do not yet believe your new positive language-is an excellent first step toward manifesting your bright future.

Weekly Forecast 10-06-2014

This week's forecast is taken from Higher Intuitions oracle deck.  how appropriate that we start the week with the beautiful Monarch Butterfly.  It's now October, and they have begun their great migration south.  Just last week, I caught a fleeting glimpse of one feeding among the fall flowers. What a treasure.  It is in this context that I am drawn to the words on the card, "Build Your Wings."  It is that we are on the cusp of a great migration ourselves.  Time to take some time and build your power, because you are awakening and the journey is just beginning.  Amidst the hustle of the week's beginning, this card tells us to slow down, turn off the electronics and find your center.

The second card of the week is the Angel Fish and is titled, "Call on Your Angels."  This builds so naturally off the beginning of the week where we find ourselves needing to back off and build ourselves up.  Steer away from the stubborn urge to do things by yourself.  It's time to ask for help and help is there for you!  Your angels cannot work on your behalf without your request for assistance.  That overwhelmed feeling is completely unnecessary.  Remember help is just a request away.

We bring up the week with Moose, "Balance."  I am specifically drawn to the sense of community of the picture.  See the two birds perched on the moose?  This is a week to accept assistance.  Remember, you are not a failure for not going it by yourself.  The theme of the week seems to be open up to the helping hand of others.  Dear Ones, we have spirit and family and friends so we can give and receive. We need to let go of the tendencies to want to do it all by ourselves when a little help is all we need :-)

I want to draw your attention to the pairs in this draw of cards.  Each card drawn has two of something, creating the Angel Number 222, the number of manifestation. Any ideas you have planted or are manifesting are beginning to take root.  Although the journey seems uphill, now is not the time to give up!  Keep watering those seeds and don't miss out on the miracle before it occurs!  Keep up the positive affirmations and the good work, for soon it will pay off :-)

Have a great week folks!

Lovely beautiful morning, my friends! Today's weekly reading is brought to you via my wonderful Bev and Jim at  Ohm Sweet Ohm.  Last week, I attended a festival so in Lexington and saw this deck.  This reading is from The Guilded Tarot, by Barbara Moore. We begin the week with the Emperor.  In this context, Emperor tells me that although you are ready for action, remember every action has a reaction.  The emperor never reacts out of emotion, he reacts from a state of balance.  Although action in your situation is necessary, make your action deliberate and avoid the repercussions of rash behavior.  If you react in balance, the outcome will be to your benefit.

Midweek brings us the Three of Wands.  In this context, this is an emotional card.  If you have had a conversation with a loved one, they are sitting on it processing the conversation.  The man is waiting for his ship to come in and so are you, dear reader.  I know it is hard to watch and wait, especially if the conversation was a hard one.  If you played your cards right, (remember The Emperor?) your sincerity and balance will pay off in the end.  There is nothing you can do to control the situation, this is a time to allow the other person to sit with there emotions and a time for you to practice patience and step out of the need for control.  In the context of The Emperor, you have made your action, and sent the energy out.  Now you await the results. Patiently, you await and there is no action that can move things now.  Patience is an art that we can all use practice in!  Sometimes it's hard to sit and wait things out.  Wait is often the answer we get when we implore Spirit.

We end the week with The Queen of Swords.  Your patience has served you well, my friends and you will reap the benefits of your careful choices.  Queen of Swords is deliberate in her actions and speaks with a connection to the Divine.  Remember, the outcome depends on your careful choices.  When we act with a deep connection to spirit, we move with ease and without attachment to outcome.  Here the queen sits in the results of her hard work.  Allow yourself a little time to rest and give yourself a pat on your back.  You deserve it!  Have a great week, folks!

September 9-14 2014 Weekly Forecast

Better Late than never, here is your weekly forecast! This week is Messages from Your Angels, by Dorreen Virtue.  I want to start out by saying, Okay, who's been the over achiever here?  The first card I prove is about self care-  Teresa: time-out! You've been so busy taking care of everyone else's needs, but now it's time to stop and take care of yourself. This feels more to mee like someone or someones are work-a-holics.  The grind is getting to you and you are forgetting to eat well and get some sleep.  This card poses a call to your health.  Slow down and pay attention to your body or your body will get your attention.  Get some colorful fruits and veggies into your system and boost your immunity.  You need it!

The second card is Bridgette: Caution is warranted.  Look deeper into this situation before proceeding further." If you are getting ready to sign on that house, make sure you have it thoroughly inspected.  Take care of yourself by taking care of your personal business.  Get that second opinion and save yourself grief later.  The investment you make in a professional opinion will definitely pay out in the end.  Slow down and take care. There is more to this situation than meets the eye.  Midweek is definitely a time that should be spent in moving slowly and with great care.

The weekend brings in Archangel Uriel: "Your emotions are healing which enables you to open to greater love.  I will help you to release anger and unforgiveness from you heart and mind."  Seems like the last month has been one of healing and processing for everyone.  This weekend is a good time to get a cup of chamomile tea and allow the herbs to do the work.  This is about stepping out of the way and asking spirit to gently help you release that which no longer serves you.  Get a massage or reiki session.  This is about getting out of your own way and allowing spirit to balance and work. Through you.  A good crystal for the weekend is Angelite.  This is a powerful stone that promotes deep rest and soothes the soul by connecting one to the angelic realm.

Have a great week folks!

Busy Week

I have had a very busy week this week and the last two days have been spent inward, so writing has not been on the fore front. I awoke this morning and the air was cool and crisp.  I picked up my drum and drummed in each of the four directions.  The mornings are so beautiful here in Kentucky and it is a wonderful heart centered thing to connect with my drum first thing. I join  with the birds and the breeze and the sun to connect with the beauty of all that is.  In this, I am gifted with tremendous peace.

I have been reading Black Elk Speaks, and he beckons me like an old friend.  As I read his book, I feel his presence all around and the sound of his voice is palpable.  Much of the book is of his life as a warrior, however; he was also a medicine man.  I have learned much from him and hope to continue a working relationship with him on my healing path.

With that, I would like to leave you with this quote from the book, Black Elk Speaks: "....the voice of the drum is an offering to the Spirit of the World.  It's sound arouses the mind and makes men feel the mystery and power of all things."

Aho, dear friends.
